The Father of History

History has always been well acquainted with the existence of vampires. Many humans have sought to destroy what they thought to be a legend, a mere myth, but in their futile attempts these poor souls only got closer to the truth, close enough to meet their doom. As well as merely remembering, history has never been kind to vampires either. It is a well know fact that people feared what they didn’t know, what they couldn’t control, and the vampires were just that. Many took on the brave calling of being a vampire hunter but more still perished by the thirst of these nightly beasts, screaming in vain as their life fluid was drained from their bodies.

Now before we continue there are a few things I would like to let you in on. No doubt you have heard many, if not too much, stories about these mythical creatures and you think you know all about them. Heed my warning when I tell you to empty your cup of all you think you know of these creatures, for it is by your brash actions that you too will fall victim to their everlasting thirst. The vampires remembered by the Father of history is much different than those you might have read about. The true demons of the dark are dangerous beyond compare, some even immortally so. They have existed beyond the stretch of time, but it is only the originals that are truly immortal. Only they have been spawned by death himself. Their followers were created in their image however when an original leaves just enough blood within his victim to allow the poison to take its toll. Contrary to popular belief vampires are not addicted to blood itself, but rather to the life essence found within any living creature’s blood. This you must grasp in order to understand them, to come to know them for the life draining demons they truly are. Now that these few issues have been resolved, let’s continue;

From the day history itself had been invented, vampires roamed the earth. Of course back then they were much more savage and scarce than what they are now. The vampires were all cursed from the same bloodline, the same family known as the Vrykolakas family, and from them all others were born. Vampires weren’t born like humans were, no, they were created by the cursed originals. They had decided that if they were to be cursed, then so should the whole world be. They decided to share their “gift” with the rest of the planet and through the ages the population grew. For the better part they remained undetected, under the radar if you will, but now as the sixteenth era dawns upon Britain the vampires are finding it harder and harder to remain unhidden. The originals have worked their way up the hierarchy of England and rumors are being spread that Queen Elizabeth herself is an original, but that’s all they are, rumors. Within this era a new species was revived as well, known as the Vampire Hunters or the Lamia Venator. These humans have made it their life’s mission to rid the earth of the vampires and in turn the vampires seek to create a new world where vampires rule. Mere mortals stand in their way and it may already be too late for these fragile beings. Where will you end up?
