Katherine woke with a fright, the dreams from the night before was haunting her. She lay in her bed, not as big as her previous bed when she was queen, but at least it was bed. She looked around and saw a little bit of sun rays streaming into the room, ending just before her bed. She stood up and threw a robe over her night gown and she went to the window and threw the curtains open, the sun started to burn her skin. She wished she cold still feel the heat seeping into her skin, but ever since her marriage she couldn't anymore. She went to the kitchen and found that her servant was standing there ready to serve her at any moment. This young girl left with her when she got divorced and served her ever since. Katherine made her way to the servant girl, her name is Izell and Katherine gave her a good morning bow, the servant girl gave her a bow too. The servant girl rolled her sleeve from her dress up and Katherine could see the numb spot from where she cut her self multiple times for Katherine to satisfy herself. The servant girl went and fetch a little razor and made a small incision into her arm and blood started to flow, Katherine grabbed her arm, suddenly very thirsty and started to suck on her arm. She stopped and the girl clenched her arm and sat down. Katherine gave her a thanks and went back into her room, got dressed. She got her hooded cape and made her way to the outside world. When she got outside she stopped and looked around. It was a sunny day in the country of England.

It was quite a sunny day when the rays finally started to stream into Kate’s room. It had been quite obvious for a long time now that Kate wasn’t a morning person, but being the Duchess of Richmond meant she didn’t really have any say in the matter. She slowly rolled out of her bed, feeling the cold shock as her feet touched the cold stone floor. She stretched her arms and rubbed her eyes. Her hair was a mess like it was every morning thanks to her curls and she slowly walked to the powder room where her servant girls were waiting on her… An hour later Kate was dressed in her best gown, her hair was freshly washed and pinned up elegantly and her face shined. She was smiling politely and had already donned her Duchess personality and manners. She thanked her servant girls and floated down the stairs. Her guard was waiting downstairs like they did every day, ready to make the rounds. Katherine nodded a greeting to them and they bowed. “Are we ready for today?”She asked in her polite voice and they immediately opened the double doors of her mansion, letting daylight stream in. She went outside, her steps so fluid that it almost seemed she was floating. A carriage was waiting for her but she waved it away and decided she would walk today. Her shoes wouldn’t allow too much of it, but she would go as far as she could. She looked over her shoulder, making sure her guard followed her but when she looked before her again she bumped into another woman who had a heavy hood drawn over her face. She staggered back a few steps and for a small moment didn’t know what to say…

Elizabeth woke and stretched leisurely, taking time to extend each arm and long leg, then all the way down her back. Heavy curtains were drawn to keep out the light, but she knew that it waited beyond the darkness the enveloped her, she had a sense for such things. She lay still for a moment, listening to all of the sounds of the morning. The birds twittered just beyond the shutters and the maids and cooks made a ruckus in the kitchens in another wing, going about their business preparing for the needs of those of the palace. Her thoughts strayed to how that was no longer a concern for her, she had another source of sustenance now… One that solid food could not satisfy.
Pulling herself from her thoughts, Elizabeth sat up in the big four poster bed and pushed aside the sheer curtain that hung around it. Crossing the room, she pulled back the heavy curtains and let the light come into the room. She fingered the jewel at her throat that was her constant before stepping into the beam and letting it dance across her skin. It seemed to illuminate it from the inside, but not in a completely human way. There was not blood flowing beneath the surface to give it the pinkness and heat of the humans skin, yet it had a beautiful yet pale appearance.
She was beautiful in all aspects when it came to that. She had a slender, womanly with curves in just the right places, and long elegant legs. Every inch of her skin was flawless to an inhuman degree, pale and smooth as silk. Light red hair fell in waves and curls to her bum, and was thick as a pine forest, framing a perfectly feminine face. Her eyes were grey-blue, but sometimes changed to reflect her mood. Full deep rose lips parted to reveal straight white teeth, the eye teeth being pointed into what some would call fangs.
The sun had just risen over the horizon and turned her lands to gold. Suiting, for that is what it was to her. Her land and her people meant the world to her, and she would go to any length to keep them safe. She was Queen of these lands, and as such, it was her duty, though she had to admit that it was something that she truly loved. She had never forgotten where she had come from all those years ago, and now it was her turn to help all of the people that had been like her family, it truly was like a fairy tale.
Turning from the window with a soft smile, she called for her hand maiden. It was time for her to get ready for the day. The girl entered the room bearing her gown and petticoats for the day. Soon Elizabeth stood before her looking glass admiring her reflection. Her gown was crimson with the front open to reveal an underskirt of ivory with embroidery along the hem. The bodice was fitted with stitching in patterns up the seams, and showed her thin waist. Her mass of hair was pulled up into a fountain on the back of her head, with ringlets cascading down to brush the nape of her neck. She turned to the girl that had helped her and smiled, thanking her for her help, as it was her habit to do. Elizabeth did not take it for granted as some nobles did.
Going down to the huge dining hall, she was met with the usual lay out. On the head table at her place, there was a crystal glass filled with the crimson liquid that she craved. The servants took turns donating to the royals, and for this she was thankful. She took the goblet in her hands and raised it to her lips eagery Though she could smell it from across the room, the scent now was purely intoxicating, and she drank deeply. Once her needs were satisfied, she sat the crystal down and her tongue flicked out to clean the remainder of her meal from her lips. Now she was ready, Elizabeth made her way to the great doors that led out of the palace, and took her cloak from the servant that offered it. It was a deep emerald green, with a hood lined in rabbit fur of silver-grey. Donning it, she waited as the doors were opened and then walked out into the early morning light.

Katherine stood there when suddenly somebody walked into her, as she turned her head she got a mouthful of curls and nearly chocked on them. Seeing a woman looking all confused at her, Katherine gave this woman a stern look and as she staggered back, Katherine didn't know what to say but all that came out of her mouth was. "Watch were you're going, will you?" Seeing the woman has guards following her she didn't want to cause any trouble and she suddenly started to walk away and made her way across the road. She knew that if she stayed she would say something she would regret and be thrown in jail. But being the previous Queen of England it wouldn't be to much of a shameful event.
