Deciding to take a walk through the Victoria Tower Garden, Scarlet pulled on one of her dresses. Picking out the one dress that she had got a few centuries back, but had never decided to wear it until now. The dress itself was a beautiful auburn color, the sleeves cut off of her soft shoulders and were white. Her mother had given it to her but now, that she didn't have a mother, Scarlet hadn't thought about it for centuries because of the memory of her mother.
When she put the dress on and made her way towards the Garden. She had put her hair up in a bun, with strands of her beautiful red hair turned into small waves around her purple eyes. For a while, she walked around looking at everything. It was a beautiful sight to her eyes, even though she had seen it over a thousand times, but it never grew old. It was always. Gorgeous. Finally, Scarlet stopped walking around and just stood for a good few minutes. Wondering what she would have done if she wasn't a vampire and instead, was a human.

The Queen of England swept through the place and out of the heavy wooden front doors. Taking a moment, she touched the pendant at her throat to make sure that it was secure, and then stepped out into the sunlight. As soon as the rays hit her skin, she breathed a sigh of content. It warmed her perpetually cold skin and made it almost glow, but above all it felt so good. She tilted her head back as she walked to let it grace her face, a smile on her lips.
She was pretty, there was no doubting that, but she did not flaunt it as other nobles had a tendency to. She had a pretty femanine face, with full red lips and eyes of blue-gray. The complection was pale even before she was bitten, but now it was almost translucent in the sunlight. Without blood flowing beneath the surface to give her skin color, it lookes as if she was made of porcelin, pale and flawless. Today she wore a gown of forest green, one of her favorites. It was trimmed with ivory lace around the neckline, sleeves, and hem. Delicate floral paterns of golden stitching decorated the bodice that was fitted to her trim figure. Elizabeth's red hair was pulled up into a cascade of curls off of the back of her head, with a few short single curls around her face. She was quite the sight to see in all of her finery.
But just now she was going for a walk. She let her feet take her, not having to worry about growing tired. Vampires did not worry about such things as humans did. She smiled to herself at that thought and continued on her way, letting her feet take them where they wished. Inhaling, she could catch the scent of her guards, but they were intelligent enough to stay out of sight. Good she thought to herself.
When she next took stock of where she was, she was pleased to find herself in the Victoria Tower Garden. It was a beatiful place, filled with flowers and plants and all kinds of life. Birds sang high in the trees, and flittered about the ground in search of food.
Elizabeth strolled to one of the nearby bushes and bent to breathe in the sweet scent of the roses that grew there. One bush held flowers of the red variety, while the one next to it held some that were white with pink just around the edges of each petal. They had always been her favorite, ironic that the red of the rose so resembled that of the blood that sustained her life now. As she pondered on this, she floated around the corner and found another female standing there. Maybe today was a day to make a friend as well, it was already such a wonderful day.
"Good day, who might you be?" She smiled at the other woman, hoping that she was indeed friendly.

Scarlet's mind had wondered off. Thinking of the life as a human, and she hadn't been bitten. But then..she wouldn't be alive and wouldn't be able to have the life she could have without the objective of others. Surprisingly, that was the life Scarlet would have chosen even before she became what she is today. Closing her light eyes, Scarlet sat there and let her senses take over. She could smell the flowers, could smell just about anything that she wanted to smell and hear anything around her.
Then she heard something. A voice that made her open her eyes to see Queen Elizabeth coming towards her. Standing up, Scarlet gave her a respected bow and gave the Queen a smile. "Good day my lady." she said. She heard the Queen ask who she was, Scarlet was hesitate for a moment before finally saying, "Scarlet Rose." OOC: Sorry it took so long, i've been busy and sick too

The Queen smiled back warmly, the expression making her look all the more friendly. Some people avoided her because of her stature. They felt uncomfortable being around her when she was somone that was seen to have so much power. But in reality, she was quite a friendly and warm person as long as you didn't give her a reason to be otherwise; but should you release her wrath, Lord help you.
This lady seemed to be slightly uneasy in her presence, but Elizabeth hoped that she could soon remedy that. The girl spoke tentatively and respectfully. "Good day my lady." and then responded with her name when asked, giving a bow. Elizabeth tilted her head in recognition and smiled, revealing straight white teeth, two of them sharpened to a point.
"Good day. Such a pretty name to go with a pretty face, I am glad to make your aquaintance. 'Tis a lovely day is it not? Wonderful for a stroll among the flowers. Do tell me, which is your favorite?"
Elizabeth wondered what she would say. There were a variety of flowers in the garden, all of them a differnt color and design, but all of them beautiful in their own right. Elizabeth inhaled the different scents that surrounded them, each of them distinct and easy to distinguish with her superior sense of smell. She knew that Scarlet had the ability as well, and was interested to see wether she would taste the air around them as she herself had. After all, that was what she had been doing when Elizabeth interupted her.

Scarlet slowly, sat back down on the bench, and watched as the Queen talked about the garden. Yes, it was a beautiful garden. A strand of her hair moved in front of her face and her pale hand put it back in its place. Scarlet had never thought about her name being pretty or even with a pretty face. She nodded her thanks to the Queen. "As am I, to make your acquaintance as well, my lady." she said, trying to straighten out her dress.
She hadn't met the Queen before, of course, she had heard of Queen Elizabeth but never had Scarlet seen her in person. She smiled at the Queen before looking around at the flowers. She had so many favorites, and so many that smelled wonderful to her scents. Taking in a deep breath, Scarlet could smell each flowers scent as it came to her nose. "They are all my favorite, but the one that cherish would be the rose. As it is, Rose is my last name." she said, "Which flower is your favorite, my lady?"

Elizabeth grinned once again, revealing her teeth in a very wide smile. It was nice to have something in common with somone, even if it was something so small an trivial as the same taste in flowers. She was sure now that they had other things in common, she knew that Scarlet was one that had been bitten as she herself had been on her wedding night. All of this ran thtrough her mind in only a short moment before she made her reply. Quicker and clearer thinking was another advantage of the vampires.
"I am fond of the rose as well. Do tell, what is your favorite hue? I am partial to this one myself, but i hold a special liking for the red as well."
A long pale finger reached out to gently touch the petal of a white that was outlined in pink. It sat upon a pedistal of dark green dotted with perfect leves down the length of the pilar. Small thorns jutted out from the stem, adding a bit of danger to the beauty of it. Elizabeth stood contemplating it for a moment, and then spoke as her finger continued to caress the soft petal, relseasing its sweet scent.
"It is ironic is it not? That we are so much like this pretty thing. Pretty yet with a dangerous side. We have thorns of our own in a way, yet immortal beauty to go along with it. And the red rose holds the color that is so much like that that sustains us. Do you not think?"
Elizabeth let her hand drop, and turned her face back to the woman on the bench.
"Who would have thought that queens had the time to contemplate such things, eh? However, when you are immortal, you find time to contemplate all sorts of things."

Scarlet smiled at the Queen, her teeth showing like white pearls, as she agreed with the Queen. Red was one of the very hue's that she liked and watched as she saw the woman's finger touch a white petal. "As well as I, have a special liking for the red, as it is a custom for me to see and wear." she said. Her purple eyes looked over each flower as she listened to her Queen speak. Of course, Scarlet usually wasn't the type of person to give in to a powerful being such as Elizabeth, but sitting here with her. Made Scarlet think differently.
Scarlet blinked over to Elizabeth and thought for a moment. "Yes, my lady, I do believe that it's ironic. Beauty comes in many size and shapes. Many, such as you and myself, come with something that most would not think possible, and yet it is." she paused for a moment. Reaching over to touch a rose, "I come here to see such beauty, but not for my own desires but for the desire to see the beauty of such a thing again."
Slowly, Scarlet broke the rose away from the stem and brought it up to her nose. Just the smell of such a beautiful thing brought a smile to her face. Putting the rose on her lap, Scarlet trailed a hand over it's petal's. "With immortality, comes a gift of treasure and time. Time to see the things of life as it really is, than watching it pass by without a thought."

Elazabeth dipped her head to Scarlet "Well put, very well put." Elizabeth moved and took a seat by the woman, tilting her head back to let the sunshine touch her closed eyelids. Her full skirt spread over her lap and spilled onto the bench, touching Scarlet's lightly. She didn't think that she had anything to fear from this pretty girl, and her guards were close at hand. She took a deep breath to confirm this, and let it out slowly, savoring the scents of the earth around her.
She sat quietly, enjoying the rare companionship. It was not often that she found somone that was so willing to speak to her. Most were tight lipped, and spoke only when they had to; using only a few words to reply. Needless to say, that sort of thing did not leave much room for conversation, and sometimes Elizabeth felt absolutely starved for a good conversation.
Slowly she opened her eyes and looked at the woman that sat next to her, blue-gray eyes sparkling with a mischevious light. She was not accustomed to doing such things as what she was about to do, but suddenly she felt the desire to not let this lady slip away and be lost as a friend and companion. A smile spread on her lips, and she tried to judge the other's reaction to what she dwas about to say.
"Would you accompany me for dinner tonight? In the palace." She kept her eyes on the woman before her, waiting for her to run like most people would. There were a million excuses that others used to get out of having a meal with a noble, as it was seen as such an awkward afair. But Elizabeth hoped that Scarlet would find a few reasons of her own to say yes.

Being admired by the Queen herself, felt like a prize that Scarlet had not been looking forward to. Firstly, she hadn't entirely expected to run into Elizabeth to begin with, much less talking to her in the Victoria Tower Garden. It was such a rare thing for one so closed and tricky to human men. But with Elizabeth, Queen Elizabeth, sitting here with her and talking to her, Scarlet didn't know what to say or do. "Thank you my lady." she said, watching as the woman sat down next to her one the bench.
Scarlet looked back down to the rose she had broken off of its stem. Being fond of such a thing, of such a flower was a very unique and interesting thing for one such as Scarlet. For the time she had been bitten, Scarlet had taken her time, taken the time to grow up. To see what the world truly looked like. Something that she had seemed to be missing as a human. And it was something that she honestly, didn't want to miss now as a creature of th night.
Blinking over to Elizabeth, Scarlet didn't know what to say. She saw how the Queen was watching her, seeming to wait for her to make an excuse of not wanting to have dinner with a noble such as Queen elizabeth. So, instead, Scarlet was going to take her chances and accept the offer. Smiling, Scarlet gave Elizabeth a nod. "It would be a pleasure to have such a dinner with you at the palace, my lady. Who would deny such an offer as this, coming from the Queen herself. A noble one at that."

Elizabeth grinned and joined her hands in glee as Scarlet agreed to dine with her. She had hoped that the woman would agree to come, as it was not often that she got to dine with somone just for the pure joy of it. And somone like her nonetheless. Of course they entertained and had people to dinner, other nobles, and people of higher classes, but that got tedious after a short time. Most of them were dull, lacking the lifetime that she had experienced, and of course, being human, lacking the need for food that she had. They were content to sit and munch away at lamb and rice, and all manner of food goods, when all she hungered for was them! Yes, quite tedious indeed.
But now she would have an evening with a different kind of guest. Not one that she needed to please to keep political peace, but somone to chat with over a meal of their own. It would be... fun. Elizabeth thought on this word for a moment, it was not one that she had been particularly familiar with since her childhood.
After bidding Scarlet goodbye, she made her way back to the castle, and was caught up once again in the hustle nad bustle htat is her life. Going to deal with all of the things that must be handled in a day by the queen, she let her meeting with Scarlet slip her mind for a short while. Though never totally forgetting it. She hoped that she could find a friend, even queens needed a friend to talk to every now and again.

After the Queen said good-bye, Scarlet stayed where she was for a few moments. Thinking about the dinner that she had been invited to and how it would turn out to be. Usually, when Scarlet was asked to dine with some one or anyone, it was usually a noble human trying to woo her into being with them. And eventually, she grew tired of them and got rid of them quickly. It was something that had grown old and tired of quickly. But now, she was going to the palace, to eat with the Queen of all people.
Finally, getting up, Scarlet made her way back to her home. Pulling out dresses that she had hardly worn, and looked at them. Slowly, each one was put back into the closet until she came down to a red velvet sleeveless dress. It was low-cut in the front and of course long and gorgeous in the front and back. Finishing with her hair, Scarlet decided to make her way towards the palace. Unsure if she was even going to able to talk in the presense of the Queen.

Once the needs of the day had been met, Elizabeth turned her thoughts back to the impending evening. A thrill of secret glee ran through her. She was excited by the thought of sharing time with another being like herself, even if it was over something that was as trivial as dinner. As she made her way down the winding hallways, her steps made no sound. Her fet were light on the stone floors of the palace, giving her the appearance of floating rather than walting along the passages.
She wound her way down the stair that led to the servants quarters and the kitchens below. She could of course hear the chatter of all of the people that dwelt here, even from this distance, and it brought a smile to her lips. Some of the other lords and ladies cared little for the people that cared for them; treating them little better than dogs, some of them worse than the lap dogs that they kept. But Elizabeth was not that way, not had she ever been. She had always taken care to care for her servants; doing what she can to help them and keep them happy. They were housed in clean, warm appartments below the palace, with ample furnishings and some minor comforts. They were treated well, given a small wage to do with as they wished, and were encouraged to come to her with any problems. She had helped more than one of them feed their families through a winter or two, or kept them safe from more undesirable persons. She treated them fairly, and believed that manners were deserved by everyone, so made sure to thank them for all that they did.
She entered the kitchen to a scene of dissaray. Flour and other food goods spread over all of the surfaces, and a hand full of bodies moved two and fro in organized chaos. Smiling softly she made her presance known and waited for the scene to calm a bit beofre telling them what she needed of them. She informed them of the fact that there would be another joining her for dinner tonight, and what she would like as far as accomidation. She requested that enough food for two be set out, and that an extra crystal glass be prepared. She smiled here, to anyone else requesting a glass of blood would seem odd, but not here with these people, this was home.
After leaving the kitchens, she made her way up to her own rooms. On her way she met her maid servant in the hallway and requested that her tub be filled with warm water. Tonight she would bathe in honor of the occasion, a luxury that she afforded herself here and there but not anywhere close to to often. When the tub was filled with steaming warm water, she was helped out of her current clothing, and slipped into the water.
It was heaven on earth, as close to heaven as she would get. The heat against her erpetually cool skin was an amazing feeling, one that she relished in. She laid her head back onto the edge of the tub and let her lids fall clsed for a moment, thinking back on the events of the morning and all that had happened that day. She never would have thought that she would find a possiblw friend, hidden there among the roses. As she thought of this, a new feeling assailed her... apprehension. She was worried that she might lose this chance to make a friend, and that was a feeling that she was not at all used to. She was so sure of herself usually, but not here, not in this.
Slowly and with regret she opened her eyes, and got out of the water that was her solstace. Drying herself, she stood before her wardrobe letting the breeze touch her bare skin. Slowly she picked up a shift and slipped it over her head and then moved on to the choosing of a gown. She stood for a long time, looking at all that she had before she made her decision. Finally, she reached out and took the one that she had decided on, laying it across the foot ot the bed. Calling to the servant, she put on her corset and petticoats and then slipped the gown over her head.
The one that she had selected was simple, a deep dark blue velvet, fitted at the waist, that fell to the floor in a full skirt. The neckline was a modist V with decorative stitching on a small collar in silver thread. The stitching came down the bodice as vines with small leaves, and continued down the skirt, making small flowers around the hem.
After looking in the looking glass for a long moment, she decided that she was presentable and went downstarirs to see to dinner...
